TBA Health Policy

Your child’s safety is always at the heart of everything we do.

This Health Policy was developed to help The Baby Academy® provide the best possible care for your child. Please take a moment to read the following guidelines carefully.

Children who are feverish, have vomited, or have diarrhea should remain at home for at least 24 hours after all symptoms have completely disappeared.

As a general rule, if your child is too unwell to go outdoors, they are too unwell to attend preschool. Children may return only when they have fully recovered and are able to participate in daily activities.

For the health and safety of all children, The Baby Academy® will not accept any child showing the following symptoms, or who has shown them within the past 24 hours :

  • Fever
  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
  • Flu or severe cold
  • Unusual rash
  • Throat, chest, or ear infection
  • Severe cough
  • Rapid or labored breathing
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Head lice
  • Any contagious illness
  • Excessive fatigue that prevents participation in class

If a child begins to show any of these symptoms while at The Baby Academy®, they will be temporarily isolated to prevent the spread of illness. Parents or guardians will be contacted immediately and are expected to pick up their child within one hour of notification.

Children with a mild, non-contagious cold (e.g., slight runny nose or mild cough) may attend if they are comfortable and able to take part in regular activities. However, if your child requires constant attention, cries continuously, or refuses to engage in activities, we kindly ask that you keep them at home until they feel better.

All children must have their immunizations up to date in accordance with Egyptian law. Non-immunized children cannot be admitted to The Baby Academy®.
We also highly recommend that your child receives the Chicken Pox and Meningitis vaccinations as part of their immunization schedule.

If your child requires oral medication during the day, please bring it in its original container and hand it to the Admissions Office.
Parents must also complete a Medication Authorization Form (available at the Admissions Office) for each medication.
Your child’s class teacher will then administer the medication as directed.

At The Baby Academy®, children learn to express themselves, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning — all the while feeling at home in a warm and caring community.
